Short Bio- DarkWave Produktions started back in March 1999 and is currently based in Westmont, NJ. The company was created by Joe Schmidt (aka DJ Schmitty) with the intension on booking large international / local acts in the Philadelphia area, which currently at the time, would normally pass over the city and force concert goers to either DC or NYC. DWP became an instant success after their first big show in Sept 2000 with the booking of APOPTYGMA BERZERK and VNV NATION at the Trocadero Theatre with a nearly sold-out attendance of 1100 concert goers. That show gained DWP the needed respect to become the leading booking agent / promoter in Philadelphia at that time.

DWP is known for booking shows in Philadephia like VNV Nation (2x), Icon Of Coil (2x), Apoptygma Berzerk, Covenant, And One, Funker Vogt, XPQ-21, Haujobb, Velvet Acid Christ, Din_Fiv, Inertia and Project-X, just to name a few. DWP is committed on bringing the same entertainment to the Philadelphia / NJ area in the future, so make sure to frequent their website for upcoming events.
